This plane is 丹生山 (Tanjo-san) by 常三郎 (Tsunesaburo) 48mm. I just bought it for someone who may need it because it's hard to get it in the US. Therefore, I only have one plane.

The iron is made of Tsubame steel(燕鋼), which is generally considered harder than blue paper steel. It is quite rare because the factory that produced Tsubame steel is no longer in operation. That said, being rare does not necessarily mean it is superior to blue paper steel, but rather a different variation.
It’s said to be ideal for harder hardwoods and also for end grain work.
